A 2nd Set jam so epic, you can't fit it onto one CD
Realistically, this is more of a 4.5 star for me because the 1st set is pretty standard fare, though it still has plenty more juice than the whole 12/1/73 gig, but I think this 2nd set is one of the clear highlights of '73 followed by a pretty good Sugar Magnolia and a top shelf Morning Dew. Wharf Rat is probably the highlight of the night for me, one of the finest they've done.

The playin'->MLB that kicks off the meat of the 2nd set is one of the best you'll ever hear. The deranged, ever-so-curious improvisation on this segment really takes you into the belly of the beast and back. A must-listen pair for all deadheads, truly.
This matrix sounds incredible, by the way.
Other highlights, he's gone->truckin'->stella->sugar mag is full of red-hot GD meat. Nasty versions of BEW, jack, and let it grow. Amazing wharf rat on this concert, you can feel the pathos seeping in on it. And i also loved the row jimmy (one that i love every time). Great show, you'd be better off hearing both nights from DP14 in their entirety rather than just sticking to that, there's a lot of gold in here!

What a treat
This show is a top 10 for sure. Glorious from start to finish. They're feeling loose and exploratory. At the peak of their game. With some banter, too.
And the sound is special. I love being able to feel the vibe of the audience but while also having really clear sound through the instruments. Superlative. Take some time and be merry!

This show is a really nice addition to anyone's 73' collection.
The first set is gr8 buildup to a killer second set.Highly recommended!!!

Banter after Brown-Eyed Women
Love when the boys are feeling loose enough to pull shit like 6 minute long tuning breaks

Another fine matrix from D.Usbourne, whos name has become synonymous with great matrix recordings(and cool pictures) just as Charlie Millers name is to the best soundboards..The boards from most shows sound a bit flat and soulless to me,give me a good AUD or better still Matrix,anyday..The shows great, again with a 2nd set thats got everything:Playin>mlb jam, wharf rat, truckin and a beautiful Hes gone..No wonder Dick loved 73 so... This late 73 show is a prelude of whats to come in 74..Get on it!

Diggin' these matrices
Very cool sound with the AUD overlaying the SBD. Very slow Cold Rain and Row Jimmy, time to kick back with a jazzy cigarette.

Top Show of 73', great transfer
Nice to fill in the gaps from whats missing from DPV.14 too. This matrix really brings the show to it's best possible transfer. Thanks for this!

Wow! I've been hoping someone would one day make a Matrix of this special and unique. It sounds wonderful. All that I hoped for and more. Very special thanks to dusborne. I am in your debt.
